Choir of Kings College, Cambridge - In The Bleak
Midwinter
1. In the bleak mid-winter
Frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Snow on snow,
In the bleak mid-winter
Long ago.
2. Our God, Heaven cannot hold Him
Nor earth sustain;
Heaven and earth shall flee away
When He comes to reign:
In the bleak mid-winter
A stable-place sufficed
The Lord God Almighty,
Jesus Christ.
3. Enough for Him, whom cherubim
Worship night and day,
A breast full of milk
And a manger full of hay;
Enough for Him, whom angels
Fall down before,
The ox and ass and camel
Which adore.
4. Angels and archangels
May have gathered there,
Cherubim and seraphim
Thronged the air,
But only His mother
In her maiden bliss,
Worshipped the Beloved
With a kiss.
5. What can I give Him,
Poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd
I would bring a lamb,
If I were a wise man
I would do my part,
Yet what I can I give Him,
Give my heart.

King's College
Cambridge - The Holly and the Ivy arr Walford Davies
The holly and the ivy, now are both well
grown,
Of all the trees that are in the wood, the
holly bears the crown.
Refrain:
Oh, the rising of the sun and the running
of the deer,
The playing of the merry organ, sweet
singing in the choir.
The holly bears a blossom as white as lily
flower,
And Mary bore sweet Jesus Christ to be our
sweet saviour
Refrain
The holly bears a berry as red as any
blood,
And Mary bore sweet Jesus Christ to do poor
sinners good.
Refrain
The holly bears a prickle as sharp as any
thorn,
And
Mary bore sweet Jesus Christ on Christmas Day in the morn.
Refrain
The holly bears a bark as bitter as any
gall,
And Mary bore sweet Jesus Christ for to
redeem us all.
Refrain
Stille Nacht
