The longest day must have an end等於「天下無不散之筵席」,先生同意嗎?
Ronald
However long and wearisome the day may seem, it
must inevitably be followed by night and come to an end. In the same way, all
tedious tasks are finished at last(一天無論多麼難過,總會到夜晚,總有完結的時候。
The
longest day must have an end可譯做「最難過的日子都會過去」。
There are many, many redundant expressions that are common(常見的累贅詞語甚多)。
Tell me the tales that to me were so dear, / Long, long
ago, long, long, ago(很久很久之前我愛聽的故事,請你給我再講一次)。 Pickwick
I have done wrong, very, very, wrong(我做錯了,錯得很厲害)。
