答：Over可解作「在……期間」，不一定要和現在完成式動詞連用。例如：（1）I

him over the past three weeks（最近三個星期，我沒有見過他）。讀者示下那一句說的「X辦法」，假如是最近三十年逐漸形成的，動詞應用has been developed；假如不是最近三十年，則用was並沒有錯。
問：讀電郵，見到the
information to be confirmed, will update you later。Update一字可以這樣用嗎？
答：Update一字，是一九六零年代美國人創造的，有英國人不以為然，但這個字今天已是流行英美。To update somebody（on something）指「（就某事）給某人最新消息」，是常見用法，例如：He
updated us（或He gave us an upate）on
the latest unemployment figures（他告訴我們最新的失業數字）。
讀者說的那句電郵，假如用完整英文，應作The information is to be comfirmed. I will update you later（資料仍待核實，容後奉告最新資料）；假如用縮略寫法，則應作Information to be comfirmed.
Will update you later。縮略寫法除了會略去is、was等，也會略去the、a等冠詞（article）。
