fulfilled the requirements等等？
答：「符合要求」英文可說to fulfil / meet / satisfy the requirements，至於complete
the requirements，有「完成所要求之一切」含義，當然也沒有錯。但讀者示下的那句翻譯，有幾處不大妥當。
首先，examination是單數可數名詞（countable noun），須用冠詞（article）帶出。既指明是某個考試，冠詞就應用the。此外，學校名稱裏假如沒有of一字，例如the University of Hong Kong，則一般不用冠詞，例如a
teacher at Eton College（伊頓公學教師）。
又「修畢本校中學文憑考試」一語，應作「修畢本校中學文憑考試課程」，因為「考試」是不可「修畢」的，而英文則應作Having completed the
requirements of（或prescribed by）the
HKDSE Examination at XX College：「在（at）本校修習」比「經由（through）本校修習」好一點。

to可不可改為related to？
答：拙欄一月十三日談過（to be）related to和relating
to（= to relate to）解作「和……有關」，可以通用，讀者說的那一句並不例外。當然，假如解作「有親屬等關係」或「源流上有關係」，則必須用（to
be）related to，例如：The English
language is related to Latin（英文和拉丁文有關連）。
